![]() Marisa Hoicka is a film colourist with a background as a narrative video artist and painter. ![]() Students are encouraged to bring their own videos to work on an 3.0 USB external hard drive. Your introduction to colour theory will enable you to consider the different roles of primary, secondary, and tertiary colours as you begin to colour correct your own videos. Gain knowledge about the importance of colour theory when you are colour grading. Next, be introduced on how to match shots – so that different cuts appear seamless to the viewer. In addition, glean basic techniques for changing colours in each area of the frame such as: using scopes, lift, gamma and gain, how to work with DaVinci Resolve’s nodes, HSL keying and more. Learn how to set up a video in DaVinci Resolve so that you can begin to colour correct. You will begin to look at an image as a colourist would look at it.
